During February, the Preschool children learned about community helpers such as doctors, nurses, postal workers and garbage collectors.  They also learned about God’s Love for us and one another as we celebrated Valentine’s Day.  The children made hearts and shared Valentine cards with their classmates.  They also made Valentine napkin holders with Hershey Kisses for the Senior Citizen Ash Wednesday Luncheon.  We ended February celebrating and observing President’s Day.
Love is still in the air, but spring is on the way. The staff and children are looking forward to warmer weather and outdoor adventures.  Don’t forget to turn your clocks forward 1 hour on Sunday, March 10.  In the month of March, we will begin talking about weather and winds and if the month comes in or goes out like a Lamb or a Lion.  We will also be celebrating Dr. Seuss’s Birthday with books like, The Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham and Red Fish Blue Fish.  The preschool will be asking the students to donate a book for children in need.  Our slogan of the week will be, Read one, read two, one for me and one for you.  St. Patrick’s Day will also be discussed and the children will have some fun crafts to make and dance like Leprechauns.  At the end of March, we will begin talking about Easter.
As April approaches, the teachers will focus more on the signs of spring.  Stay tuned for our sandwich and sub fundraiser.
We also opened registration for the 2024-2025 school year for our current and new preschool families. If you know anyone interested in our Preschool, please have them contact us at 717-854-1996.
